About
Thanks for stopping by! My name is Aryn Geier and I’m an Actor, Stage Manager, Educator, and Costume Designer based in Brooklyn, NY.
My passion is creating stories that help audiences become more understanding of others. As a gay, neurodivergent woman, art has been pivotal in my own journey of self-discovery. I hope that as an artist, I can help others learn and love themselves. The world of theater has many different visions and voices. Working with writers and directors, listening to their guidance and helping to make their vision come alive on stage, is a powerful experience.
Acting is my first love, but I also flourish working behind the scenes, supporting the growth and development of a show, its cast, its movement. I fell in love with stage managing while filling that role in a small student led production in college. I moved on to other shows, including stage managing one of the main musicals during my time at American University.
I graduated with a BA in Musical Theatre and a passion for interdisciplinary art making. Creators are often told to focus on one role, but I believe that art is best when you understand and approach it from all sides. Stage managing and costume designing make me a better actor and vice versa.
I have worked in theatre education for the past six years. Supporting and cultivating the next generation has always been a passion and drive of mine. I think it’s the same reason that I’ve always had a special interest in developing new works. Potential for creativity and growth makes art exciting!
